National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is the premier institution for training and leadership development in the defence production sector. It is a Central training institute (CTI) recognised by DoP&T. Established in 1978 as the Ordnance Factories Staff College (OFSC) and renamed NADP in 2004, the Academy has evolved from providing induction and in-service training to Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) and Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service (IOFHS) officers. With a forward-looking approach and strategic collaborations, including with IIM Indore, NADP is committed to developing a future-ready, innovative, and efficient human resource base for India's defence manufacturing ecosystem based on the Capacity Building Commission’s NSCSTI Framework , based on 8 pillars and 43 refined metrics to elevate the quality of civil service training institutions across India.
